| The Cape Peninsula offers extreme
outdoor activities that will saturate even the
wildest adrenalin junkie's appetite. The region's mountains,
rivers, seas and skies
- all bathed in balmy weather - set the scene for an endless variety
of wild adventures. The limits to your
adventurous holiday in Cape Town will only be determined by
the limits of your own adventurous spirit! |

| Table Mountain and surrounding mountain ranges
boast the best environs for rock climbing, abseiling and kloofing. If
you're after gentler mountain activities, you'll be thrilled with the
Peninsula's variety of mountain bike and hiking trails. There's
something for all fitness levels, but be sure to take your own water
and a warm jacket in case the famous tablecloth of clouds descends. |

| Fantastic dunes along Blouberg contain quadbiking
trails and Africa's answer to snowboarding: dune boarding, while the
long beaches are perfect for kite buggying. Head into the water - the
surf is always up in Cape Town, from fun beach breakers to big hollow
waves! There are plenty of surfing courses on offer - return home from
your holiday having conquered the seas and the challenge of riding a
wave. There are also plenty of sea kayaks and canoes, sailing boats
and windsurfers for rent. For something really wild, hire a jetski at
Camps Bay or take an Extreme Two Ocean Adventure on a skipper-driven
speedboat. |

| The rivers that meander through the Winelands
regions offer tranquil river adventures, while the slightly more
daring should head further afield to the Breede River and the Orange
River for rapids. |

| For those wanting to get to the action below the
water, the Cape Peninsula offers several top scuba diving spots. The
water is cold, but it's well worth the experience. Amateurs can
participate in diving courses - these can be arranged from a variety
of surf and dive shops around the city. For even more adrenalin,
embark on a day's shark cage diving in Gansbaai - about an hour
outside of Cape Town. For those more pressed for time, the Two Oceans
Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront also offers shark cage diving. This is
not for the faint-hearted! |

| There's no limit to the fun you can
have - not even the blue skies! There's skydiving, hang-gliding and
paragliding, each offering some of the best views in the world. If
you'd prefer to stay inside an aircraft, be whirled and twirled above
the Winelands as part of an aerobatic display. |
